The Purple Stuff
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 12-ounce package of Fresh or Frozen Cranberries
- 1 Teaspoon of homemade apple pectin (Optional)
Directions
Combine sugar ,water, and pectin in a medium saucepan. Bring to boil; add cranberries, return to boil. Reduce heat and boil gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cover and cool completely at room temperature. Refrigerate until serving time. Makes 2 1/4 cups.
Enjoy The Purple Stuff my recipe for homemade cranberry sauce. This recipe won't be as jelled as the stuff in the can and will be more like apple sauce but just as good. But if want it more jelled you can add the apple pectin which will more jelled.
